====== COFP Data Type ======

The [[Visual3D:Documentation:Kinematics_and_Kinetics:External_Forces:Force_Representation|Ground Reaction Force]] has 9 components. 3 components for the Force ([[Visual3D:Documentation:Visual3D_Signal_Types:FORCE_Data_Type|FORCE]]), 3 components for the Center of Pressure (COFP), and 3 components for the Free Moment ([[Visual3D:Documentation:Visual3D_Signal_Types:FREEMOMENT_Data_Type|FREEMOMENT]]).

The Center of Pressure is computed from the ANALOG signals recorded from the force platform, the calculations specified by the force platform manufacturer, and the location of the force platform in the laboratory.

The Center of Pressure signal is stored in the COFP folder in the Visual3D data tree.

The COFP signals are resolved in the Laboratory Coordinate System.
