Processing Log

Sift maintains a processing log primarly used in the case of a crash of the application, in these cases the log can be sent to support@HAS-Motion.ca to help our team pin-point the cause of the crash.

Crash Log

If a crash occurs the log file will be saved to “HAS-Motion, Inc” with in you computers AppData folder (C:\Users\[USER NAME]\AppData\Roaming\HAS-Motion, Inc). A path to this folder will be displayed in a dialog in the case of a crash.

NOTE While looking for you AppData folder you may have to set the file explorer to display hidden folders and files

Log Dialog

It is also possible to display and update this log while Sift is running normally, this can be handy when trying to remember what processing has already been done during a given session, or to aid in trouble shooting any other bugs within the software that did not result in a crash

the dialog can be accessed via the help menu on the tool bar

Within the dialog, the processing log will be displayed. Below is a button that will allow you to browse and select a location to export a text file containing the current processing log
