The data for individual projects are stored in project (.prj) files, providing a versatile environment for managing all data.

A project is a data file that contains all of the information that AMASS needs to process camera data for a particular application.

The file includes:

The processing parameters required by the various components The name of the data files’ source folder The name of the data files' destination folder.

  • 1.4 Marker file
  • 1.5 Link file
  • 1.6 Calibration file

The window in the Project group contains the name of the current project file, and the user can edit the parameters of the current project file, open another project file, or create new project file based upon the current project file.

In order to change the source or destination folder for a particular type of data file, click the appropriate radio button at the bottom of the Input files group and then either edit the Folder name or select Browse… to have the program present a folder selection window. Note that if you Browse… for a folder, that folder will be assigned to all file types to the right of the current file type selection.

If at any time you click on Edit in the Project group, a dialog is presented which allows you to select a tab to display the parameters for a particular process.

When you close the parameter edit dialog all changes are saved to the current Project file.

If you choose to open another project file, or create a new file, the current parameters are always automatically saved.

This entry holds the full name of the file that contains the x, y, and z coordinates of the static Reference markers that will be used to translate the calibration data to the desired Global Coordinate System. You may browse for an existing .ref file or create a new one.

The marker (.mkr) file is a file containing the marker labels that the user applies to the segments during the identification process. Clicking the Edit button launches Notepad and allows the user to edit the file. Clicking on the Browse… button allows the user to load an existing .mkr file or create a new one.

The Link (.lik) file defines pairs of markers labels (which must exist in the .mrk file) that designate which markers are to be connected in the Identify screen.

The Calibration file box specifies the folder and name of the calibration file that is to be used for the tracking computations. You may Browse… for it in the Track window of the parameters, or achieve the same result by clicking on the Apply button in the ViewLin widow for the calibration.
