Test Client
Purpose
'TestClient' was created as a simple tool to test the 'Visual3DServer' installation. It comes for free with the 'Visual3DServer' program.
Interface
The interface of TestClient consists of:
Options
The Options field becomes visible by checking the Options checkbox. Unchecking this checkbox will hide the options field giving more screen real estate to the graph area.
Files
Pipeline script path: path to the file with the script to calculate the data displayed in the graph.
Link model path: path to the file with the link model definition used in the script.
Display
Enables the user to select what signal and what component of this signal (s)he wants to see in the graph. The number of subframes in the selected signal is also displayed. Finally the user can set how much data needs to be displayed in the graph.
Graph area
Status bar
The status bar displays the most recent action, and contains additional settings that can be set and some color-coded information.
- Redraw rate the frequency with which the graph is redrawn.
- Missed Frames the number of frames that are missed up till now
- Latency
- CON Green when connected, otherwise red
- SYS Green when a system is selected, otherwise red
- PLS Green when a script file is loaded, otherwise red
- LKM Green when a link model file is loaded, otherwise red
Hovering with the mouse over the status bar area will reveal 5 buttons:
- Connect Opens the connection dialog
- Record Opens the recording dialog
- Help Opens this page in your default internet browser.
- About Opens the about dialog
- Exit Exits the program
