Subject Tags
Subject Tags are a part of Visual3D's Multisubject support and allow users to associate a generic label (a tag) with a subject in a C3D file. This tag is as flexible as file tags and can included roles such as “Ball-carrier” and “Tackler”, demographic categories such as “Young” and “Old”, or other categorical distinction such as “Skilled” and “Novice”. Subjects Tags should not be confused with Subject Prefixes, which are used to identify subjects within a C3D file.
Creating Tags
Subject tags can be created and modified through the user interface using the Model → Add/Modify Subject Tags menu option.
This can also be accomplished through the Visual3D pipeline using the Set_Subject_Tag command.
Using Tags
The active subject tag can be set through the user interface using the “Subject” drop down menu.
This can also be accomplished using the Select_Active_File pipeline command.
Reserved Tag Names
There are two reserved tag names that cannot be used by the user:
- All_Subjects: All prefixes/tags fall into this category (including No_Subject).
- No_Subject: Any segments that were defined without using a prefix in the model template will be associated with No_Subject.
