Convert3D Hardware Requirements

Convert3D runs most effectively on computers with the most CPU, RAM, and Network Capacity available. Like most software programs, the lower the capacity of the computer, the slower the reaction time of the program will be.

Convert3D Software Requirements

Convert3D can be operated on computers running Windows Vista, Windows 7, 8 and 10. At this time Convert3D is not compiled for operating systems other than Windows. Convert3D is designed to run on 64 bit computers.

Downloading Convert3D

C-Motion software is all downloaded over the Internet at www.c-motion.com.

Customers are provided login information to access the download page.


After you log in at www.c-motion.com, you will see a screen similar to this:


1. Click the DOWNLOAD Buttons to save the Convert3D installation file to your computer.

Note: Most web browsers will offer you a choice of where to save the downloaded file. Make sure you remember where you save the downloaded file.

2. Run the installation executable file you downloaded.

Installing Convert3D

When you run the executable file that you downloaded you will be guided though the following steps.

1. Your computer will ask you to confirm that you trust the source of the program you are installing.

2. The Setup Wizard will be activated and it will be recommended that you quit all other applications before continuing. Note that this page tells you what version you are installing.



3. You will then be presented with the licensing agreement. It is very important that you read it before continuing.



4. You will then be presented with an Information window that has copyright information and details of what has been improved for the current version.



5. You will then be asked to confirm, or chose, where you would like to install the program.



6. You will then be asked to confirm, or chose, where you would like to install the program's shortcut.



7. You will then be asked if you would like to create a desktop shortcut icon to facilitate access to the program.



8. You will then be presented with a summary of where files and shortcuts will be installed. This is your last chance to go back and change your installation choices.



9. You will be asked to wait while the installation process is underway.



10. When the Completed dialogue appears Convert3D has been successfully installed on your computer. If you leave the checkbox selected Convert3D will be opened automatically, after you click the Finish button.




Activation

The TXT to V3D TXT section of Convert3D does not require a license to be used.

The C3D to CMO section of Convert3D will run without a license for 30 days, after which a license must be purchased to use it. If you do not have a license and wish to purchase one please contact support at support@c-motion.com.

In order to activate Convert3D:

1. Click on the About button at the bottom right hand corner of the screen to open the About dialogue.

2. Click on the Activate button at the bottom right of the About dialogue.

3. Convert3D will confirm that you wish to activate the program. Click Yes to proceed.

4. Enter the activation code that you have purchased and click Activate.

Note: If you get an Activation Error double check that you have entered your license key correctly. If you have entered the correct code and the error persists contact support@c-motion.com for assistance.

Note: If the license you are trying to use is already being used on another computer you will get the Previously Activated User error. You will need to either deactivate the program on the other computer or purchase a second license.

5. Once Convert3D has been activated the automatic activation dialogue will appear.

Deactivation

If you wish to use Convert3D on a different computer you will need to deactivate it from the computer that was using it.

1. Click on the About button at the bottom right hand corner of the screen to open the About dialogue.

2. Click on the Deactivate button at the bottom right of the About dialogue.

3. Convert3D will ask you to confirm that you wish to deactivate the program. Click Yes to continue.

4. Once the program has been deactivated you will receive the following confirmation.

5. The license can now be used on another computer.

Uninstalling Convert3D

If you want to completely remove Convert3D from your computer you will need to uninstall it.

1. Close Convert3D completely.

2. Click on the bottom left of your screen in order to open the Start menu.

3. Click on "All Programs" and navigate to the folder named C-Motion.

4. Expand the C-Motion folder and the Convert3D folder.

5. Click on the Uninstall Convert3D.exe

6. Your computer will confirm that you wish to remove Convert3D from your computer. Select Yes to continue.

7. Convert3D will confirm that you wish to remove Convert3D from your computer. Select Yes to continue.

8. There will be a brief pause as the program finds all of the files that need to be deleted and removes them permanently from your computer. You will then get a message stating that Convert3D has been successfully removed from your computer.

Note: Should you neglect step number 1 and try to uninstall Convert3D while it is running you will get the following message. This means that while you have removed the essential components for running Convert3D there has been some portion left behind which must be deleted manually.
