Hip Landmark

The following three Pelvis Segment Types create hip joint landmarks automatically:

• Coda Pelvis
• V3D_Composite_Pelvis
• Helen Hayes Pelvis

The Visual3D Pelvis does not automatically create a Hip Joint Landmark.

It's important to note that if the thigh segment is tracked with one of the Hip Joint Landmarks, the thigh segment will not have 6 degrees of freedom because these landmarks are tracked in the pelvis coordinate system. This means that any errors in the pelvis tracking will cause errors in the thigh tracking.

Although you cannot modify the definition of the automatically created landmarks, you can create your own, or use these regression equations.
